The club did try really hard.

Parachute payments enable Middlesboro to offer premiership wages and thats what he has gone for. He was scheduled to go to them last season, but when they got relegated it is rumoured Lita and his agent networked premiership clubs, but no-one wanted him.

Always had mixed feelings about Lita TBH. Good player if you can get him mentally right but has a very short fuse. For everyone's info the club did enquire about him, but his agent had basically took the ****. He has done so but in fairness he is only trying to get the best deal for his client which from Lita's point of view he is a great agent! We are still very weak up top IMHO and I think the lack of goals scored come Christmas will highlight that more so, as if last season wasn't a big enough kick up the tosh!

wonder quite how you came to that conclusion when he's only scored 64 goals in 7 seasons :confused:......

29 of his goals came in 1 season in League One :tired:....

Hes had one decent season at this level in an absolutely rampant Reading side where he got 15 and has done little else really...

horrific attitude, horrific wages, likes the nightlife a bit too much and a goalscoring record that people would have you believe is far better than it in reality is

Whatever wages he wanted obviously the club didn't think he was worth it and if so then I agree with the club. I've never rated Lita and it goes to show why Reading didn't want him.
