    Is there a formula for predicting who will avoid the drop?

    As four of the bottom five go head-to-head in the Premier League relegation battle, what are the factors that determine who survives?

    I've got one
    A = QPR
    B = Bolton
    C = Wolves
    D = Blackburn
    E = Wigan

    The formula is
    If A finishes the season with more points than 3 of B C D or E then they will not be relegated.

    See its easy.

      (SWP + JBx2 + KD) - (DC) = relegation

          There's been a successful formula in place for years.

          Win = 3pts Draw = 1pt Lose = 0pts.

          Get more W + D than L and Bob's your Uncle.

            Yep, quite a simple 1 really:

            We get more points than 3 other teams
            You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

              Not really, as if two of the other teams get more W + D than us we're relegated.

              B for effort though.
