Better than a three. Thought he looked pretty good while he was on the pitch.....

Think he needs to be introduced slowly. I know everybody says that the new players are needed immediately, but if they are having problems adapting then it makes no sense. Perhaps he should play a few matches in the reserves.

Before coming was concerned about his disciplinary record. He seemed to get booked nearly every game and I know he has been sent off at least once (before Saturday) this year.

I think you have been looking at the wrong Diakite. I guess you looked at the ACN, if so the one who was sent off was the Mali right back, they have 3 Diakites, Goalkeeper, right back and CM....

This season when playing for Nancy, he has received 6 yellow cards and one red. I saw him get booked in at least one of the African Cup games and I think he might have missed one game through suspension.

He made rash challenges, which is fine if you time them right!! But, him and Cisse back, various injuries cleared (bar Ale of course, how he's missed) and our squad should be as good as it can be for Bolton I believe. Obviously providing we keep 11 on the field this Saturday?!?!?

Game against Botswana in African Nations.

"Botswana coach Stanley Tshosane made four changes from the side defeated 6-1 by Guinea last time out, including relegating Dipsy Selolwane, scorer of the Zebras' first-ever Cup of Nations goal on his return on Saturday, to the bench. Giresse was missing Samba Diakite, the suspended Nancy midfielder."

Playing matches in a poor reserve league is nothing like the Ptremier League, so playing a few games there will do nothing. If he needed to get fit, they serve apurposem, but he is fit, just not used to the game over here. he wil only get used to it by playing in the first team.

He looks more than capable at being a potentially very good player for
years to come, but i am concerned he didn't have the football brain to change his gamre and calm down on Saturday. Yes i agree with those who said MH should've taken him off to prevent the inevitable, but at the end of the day he is a professional footballer and whould be able to think for himself also. He will learn though i'm sure and become a very good player for us.

you could tell he has some ability. took him a few mins to get going but he is confident and wanted the ball short from the keeper quite a few times. made a few good driving runs and some good passes as opposed to most of our midfield who just seem to pass sidewards.

only downside was his tackling... woeful obviously. I think he was just really trying to make an impression and he certainly did that lol.

Well its a different game overseas to over here in the Premiership. Your not allowed to make tackles like he did.

We can count ourselves a little fortunate then that its only a one match ban?

I agree with that! I like the look of him.
