It's hardly racist. Every other country waves their flag proudly. The Germans felt a a little embarrassed about showing national pride in their flag post war, that changed in 2006 to a huge extent. Now we seem to be the only country in the world where it is considered an issue.

Why?

If I lived in another country or was an ethnic minority in another country - would I find their flag an oppressive issue? No I would not.

The comments are not racist either. Unless you decide you want to find something there. I am writing this expecting there to be a punchline...is this a joke?

outside the old adelaide a few years back we were chanting England after the last game of the season against cardiff, police circled the pub (some drew their trungeons) and told us if we continued to chant england we would be arrested as we were in an area of racial tension.
