Blimey, what a photo, I joined the queue in Elerslie Rd at about 7 am, was a Sunday I think.

The young kid on the right is holding a programme, probably from the Derby County game as you had to prove you were not a **** fan to get a ticket.

It didn't work at there were thousands of the *******s all over the ground.

    What a memory, Trellick thanks.

Kenny jacket was only 7 at the time, according to wiki. Could be his big brother though.

The used the Ellerslie rd turnstiles for the ticket sales, so proably just across the road from there.

My grandfather bless him was one of the first in the queue camping all night for 2 tickets for me and my brother, as we were living in Loftus Road my mother was walking round there with hot drinks for him and ended up supplying drinks for others.

Don't recognise anyone in the pic tho.

Would not be surprised if some of them were Chelsea supporters.

                      im

im almost sure these are chelsea fans,in these days they were capable of bringing 20 thousand fans and if you study the photo these guys looked delighted, maybe thats because they created the deception of passing them selves for qpr fans
but trully atmosperic picture takes me back to the years of my youth as me and many qpr 14 year olds became chelsea shed boys untill the mike keen testimonial at loftus road when we were left in no doubt by the chelsea that
we were to be ethnic cleansed we all got done that day
but out of that disgracefull act was born the loftboys and we marched into the 69 season being led by some of tottenhams top boys
and then of course the tottenham tried to be funny with a chant
WE WILL FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FOR THE RANGERS CAUSE THEY CANT FIGHT FOR THEMSELVES
there was a deadly silence and tottenham were told not to come again

                              us

us older guys know that 95 per cent of our fan base didnt really dress in the skinhead gear, the girl in the picture has a fantastic cut, that means she is only really going to stand in the loft end,all the skinheads stood in the loft end
its not like now days when people tend to get a seat where ever they want
also the other bloke are wearing skin heads clothes im pretty sure i would have known these guys if they had been qpr fans also the geezer in the sheepskin coat is sporting a white tee shirt type vest that was more of a battersea thing or south london,so im going to say they are probabley chelsea ,and probabley from battersea
