To protect the defence We need an extra player in midfield; Diakite.
We need to solve the problem with SWP. He must try to beat his man on the outside and deliver a cross.
I will have Taarabt on the left at least in away games.

PS. Play Mackie and Zamora on top until Cisse is back.

How do you solve a problem when the individual knows he hasnt got the pace anymore to take defenders on,i cant believe people cannot see that when he is switched into a central role he is far more threatening and brings others into the game

I can see that one, but he wasnīt slow against Newcastle etc?? When he first came to us.
Isnīt it more of a confidence thing and lack of cohesion in the midfield/attack? At times Iīm not able to spot any form of patterns of play up front. That must be wrong really..
Helgusson makes it happen alone

If we want to make a threat we have to form relationships and patterns of play up front.
The injuries on DJ and Bothroyd is a problem of course.
None of them are as bad as their injuries have made them this season I bet!!

SWP, like most of the team, was much better 2nd half yesterday, taking his man on, taking the ball to the line and putting over crosses.
It will have helped his confidence no end.
Think he's been getting a bit of a rough ride from people when he has been no worse than some of the others.
