Much as I detest Terry as a pathetic example of an england captain for our kids to look up to, I can't help thinking that the FA are totally out of order with this decision.

The FA have now elevated themselves above the law, and the 'innocent til proven guilty' rule. It's possible that they have seen the evidence and based their decision on this, but this decision will now compromise the court case and ultimately he'll be let off.

I just spent 15mins reading that forum. Astonishing that not one of them seems to feel he should have been stripped of the captaincy. Talk about paranoid!
After the October game I bumped into a Chelsea fan who has been going for donkeys years and had been to the game. He said he had no doubt Terry said it and had had several other incidents at the club showing his character flaws. He felt he had been given one chance to many. This is just chickens coming home to roost.

It is no difference from what they have done before with Rio Ferdinand and Jonathan Woodgate etc etc except they were banned before they were actually charged. As soon as Terry had been charged he should have either stepped down or the FA should have said whilst under charge they cannot have him leading his country on.
If I did the same at work I would be suspended on full pay until an appeal was heard, so why should this **** be any different.
More fool him for getting into so many scrapes and situations throughout his career.

That is the best statement and most important part in all this. Why are The FA above the law in this respect? He should be suspended from playing until the trial. End of:

Agree that this is another typical nonsensical FA fudge, nothing more than a flimsy PR stunt really. Terry should not be selected full stop.
