Remember this was Taiwo's first ever game in English football, a hard one at that and he has only trained with the team a couple of times. Also SWP was giving him hardly any cover so he constantly had to deal with two on ones.

[QUOTE=winalotto;804838]No No No definitely not, you cant drop the lad after one game, it would destroy his confidence. I was saying he made Hill look first choice last night, but he has had work permit problems so lets give him the season before we judge.[/QUOTE

Taiwo had a dodgy 20 mins where he was struggling and it cost us a goal BUT 2nd half I thought he tightened right up and got in some good strong challenges and showed enough to me that he will become a great addition as he settles in. He certainly wasn't totally out of his depth that is for sure.

Based on last night he plays the same as traore. Good going forward. Not that effective defending. That is just one game though. And he was at one point (Maybe even still) considered a potentially world class left back. So dropping him after one game would be silly. Give him a few weeks.

Thats very true mate, neither are natural left backs, the new buzzword now in football is wing backs not old fashion full backs. Most clubs want there full backs bombing on, hence the new found winger that is coached to defend. There first thought is to watch the ball and step forward, when a natural left back watches danger, ie.. the man or the space.Originally posted by Rieger View PostBased on last night he plays the same as traore. i must say cant believe some of these posts. this a player who has graced the champions league chased by chelsit arsenal and liverpool , had no time to train with his teamates let alone be aware of who his team mates are thrown in with 4-5 players who wont be anywhere near the team in a couple of weeks away at a team with one of the pls top scorers on a freezing cold night.
yes started shakey improved second half and those who want him removed from team are unreal, he will be an important player for our attempts to stay up
if anyone pops at him sat and they are around me i think i will go ballistic

It's incredible isn't it? One nervous and slightly rusty debut in the first half, followed by an improvement as he settled in, during possibly one of the most manic games this season......Originally posted by rangerforevereastcote View Posti must say cant believe some of these posts. this a player who has graced the champions league chased by chelsit arsenal and liverpool , had no time to train with his teamates let alone be aware of who his team mates are thrown in with 4-5 players who wont be anywhere near the team in a couple of weeks away at a team with one of the pls top scorers on a freezing cold night.
