  • Who makes the final 25 cut?

Just a quick analysis of the 25 man squad that is currently looking likely...

    GK
    Kenny
    Cerny
    Murphy

    Defenders
    Hill
    Hall
    Gabbidon
    Traore
    Young
    Taiwo
    Ferdinand
    Onuoha

    Midfield
    Derry
    Taarabt
    Buzsacky
    Barton
    Smith
    SWP
    Diakite

    Forwards
    Campbell
    Bothroyd
    Mackie
    Helguson
    Cisse
    Zamora

That is a 24 man squad of players that are pretty certain to make the final cut, leaving one space for the others to fight it our for. Obviously there is the under 21 list of...

    Macheda
    Hewitt
    Andrade
    Harriman
    Putnins

But the list of players who aren't certainties are...

    Orr(Gone to Blackburn)
    Dyer(injured)
    Faurlin(injured)
    Perone
    Connolly(Reading)
    Ephraim
    Vaagan Moen
    Hulse
    Ramage
    Shittu
    Cook

Would you give any of that group a space in the squad? Or wait and leave a space to see what comes up in terms of injuries etc? Or finally do we go out and get someone else in the next few hours?

I personally think we still look a bit light in midfield, if we do get any injuries or suspensions there isn't much depth there. Mackie and Traore can play in more than one position of course but not really in areas where we are light. Do we need another centre mid? Would(if he is available) Chris Samba signing free Taiwo or Onuoha to play centre mid where they have done before in the past?

I am going a bit crazy at work today with all these transfers so I have just given up and taken to working out what the squad is looking like. I just wanted to know what everyone else thinks about the squad in it's entirety to be honest?

What a day this has been!

to be honest, if no one else signs after zamora, i would give the 25th spot to hogan ephraim.

Elvis, Bruno, Harriman and Hewitt are youngsters and doesn't have to count among the 25, right?
