That was an accurate statement at the time but events change the course of history. Nedum Onuoha who was a NW target and was a done deal with only the t’s to be crossed and the i's to be dotted. But he was a loan deal and would have been but for AF doing his knee in. That caused a change ( and delays in getting the cost and loan turned into a buy ) in plans due to restrictions on two loans so the dynamics of the targets who they thought they would buy and those on loan changed. The rest is history.

You may want to elaborate because it is you that don't know what you are on a about. AF's injury changed the options and the plan agreed.
