    How many have left today?

    1. M Rowlands
    2. B Orr (Has that been confirmed)

We need at least another 3 to 4 players off the wage bill.

Why let Rowlands leave like that, we could have go a fee for him and wouldn't have to pay him off.

      Connolly on loan to Reading.

looks like no one wanted to sign Rowlands.

I dont know tbh, but I am guessing it would work out for us, financially. Probably something like, for arguements sake:

He earns 10k a week, and has 16 weeks left on it (£160k left in wages).
We agree to pay him a lump sum of, say, £60k as a "pay off" and he is free to sign for another club and play some competative football?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

If we could have got a fee for Rowlands he'd have gone years ago.

I am sure I heard in a chit chat once with a fella in a pub that with his PL clause kicking in, his weekly wage went up to around £21,000 a week and I bet he would have had it paid in full, every last penny of it.

We can still loan out some of the non-squad players to FL clubs for another month I think.
