Bassong & Pienaar target move from Tottenham to QPR

Sébastien Bassong and Steven Pienaar are desperate to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Queens Park Rangers before the winter transfer window closes but they face a nervous wait to see whether Spurs' chairman, Daniel Levy, finds the sums on offer acceptable.

Why are Tottenham such idiots? I understand they are trying to upper the price but you're not getting 8million for a player you don't play, you're not getting 6million for a player you signed for 3million & did not play.

For 8 mill we'd get samba

Knowing levy he'd want his 8 mill for bassong then get samba for 6 mill at the last minute with Blackburn desperate to offload

Bassong's stock has dropped loads as never picked and it will drop more with each window. Now is the time to cut their losses and take a decent cut price, rather than leave it until the summer or later and get a lot less. As for Pienaar they will want at least what they paid. I would say £7m will secure both.... Are they worth that, I would say certainly.

I know it's a squad game and all that but I'm not sure I'd disrupt a Young-Ferdinand-Onuoha-Taiwo backline for the sake of Bassong.

I would for Samba though (drop Young and move Onuoha across).

Worst case scenario is Spurs sign Samba in a cash plus Bassong deal. Depends on how desperate Bassong is.

Levy is a hard nosed extremely good businessman, nothing wrong with that.

Does he fancy paying the salaries of two players who's playing time is extremely limited? I'd say no personally.
