Wouldn't they have had to finalise a work permit before confirming the signing...?

That's the only reason Henrique didn't join, becasue he didn't get a permit, so surely after that debacle, they wouldn't announce other signings if there was a potential permit issue?

If that wasn't the policy, then why didn't they announce Henrique had signed, before the permit went belly up...

Thought hughes has said there was an issue getting it stamped rather than having to go to a tribunal or court to get agreed.

Just found out that Taye is having problems sorting out his work permit and is currently stuck in Germany trying to sort this out. He won't be back until the end of the week at the earliest ruling him out of the Villa game on Wednesday

When he signed he was photoed at the ground shaking Hughes hand, wasn't stuck then.....

He's played in the EU for years with Marseille and Milan and has a load of caps for Nigeria.

Fair enough. But if there's a problem why won't it be sorted by the week-end. There was a problem Friday, so he couldn't play on saturday but given it's been a week-end in between can't imagine there's much more to update?

As was said before, if he was playing in Italy his visa would have been Italian. It is possible that he might have to return to Italy to get some sort of exit visa. However I do not understand why he would be in Germany.
