A striker with presence and ability - Cisse who's been linked would be a great addition.

CM - Some power and drive in the middle, Samba Diakite sounds the business so hope this comes off.

Left midfielder - Traore coming back to hopefully play there, but also talk of Pienaar and Moses who could play there. Not sure either are the best option, but any would be a hell of a lot better than Mackie so a good thing and allow SWP to play on the right.

Creativity - Adel will hopefully be kept and allowed to flourish under MH. We need his inventiveness. Pienaar can also create if there's any hope of that deal. Would still love Krancjar but can't see HR ever selling.

Not sure if they will come off, but it would appear clear that MH and his team have clearly identified the issues and are trying to resolve them. Hopefully this lacklustre performance will convince the board to back him that little bit more to do what it takes to secure these guys and hopefully a couple more also, although i think it will be 3 more max.

We just need to be patient whilst Sparky stabilises us and builds from the back.... we could have put 4 Van Persie's up front today and still not scored.
Whoever plays up front needs to be patient, expect to be isolated but be ready for any chance that comes.
It's not edifying watching us cede lion's share of possesion to away team but their penalty aside, when did they look like scoring?
I'm glad distraction of cup is out of the way and MH can crack on with gathering the points we need to stay in this league (and probably using the existing personnel we curently have so no point coveting other players really).
