  • Rodallega in - Jay to Wigan?

We are looking at £4m. Wigan want £6m. Could go to £5m and probably close the deal.

However, I reckon throwing Jay, who is clearly surplus, into the deal could secure it - and maybe that's why Hughes didn't play him on Satuday so Martinez couldn't see how bad he is

Quite a few people seem sniffy on Rodallega but he's a good player in a dreadful side. What chance does a striker, and a skillful, flair forward at that, have in a side perennially on the receiving end of thrashings, always struggling to stay up.

He and Moses would be brilliant at QPR. Get them in with Diakite and I'd be a happy man even if the Chris Samba deal doesn't come off.

Still think Hughes has one or two irons in the fire we don't know about - not one ITK here knew about Diakite until it broke on French media we were going for him.

Martinez is a decent manager. Can't see him going for a lazy player like JB.

i do too stainrod... just thinking of a player in our squad that would add financial weight to any potential swap in the transfer.....

Is Pat's contract up this summer? He seems to have been with us for all eternity. Somebody must want him!

Fitz going back, or just plain lazy journalism?

Fitz barely got a game in his time at Wigan. After an initial run he was left to rot in the stiffs before we came in.

they are even more desperate than we are. haven't got the proverbial pot. as long as we have a plan b we can string this out and get him cheap - they know he can walk away for nothing in the summer and they can't afford that.

We've got a ready made upper mid-table Championship team they can have for nothing then

Wouldn't begrudge paying £6m for Rodallega. Terrific player in there somewhere - if he was consistent he'd be at a top 4 club - and by far the best we could get right now. Not to mention weakening a relegation rival into the bargain.

Personally think Martinez is pretty overrated, due to his nice guy image and occasionally pretty football. His teams just can't get the basics right and he's had years to address it.
