    It amzes me

despite the money we have, we still have not signed any of the reported targets. Are other PL clubs purposley reluctant to sell to us or we are not a good negotiaror? It doesn't however amazes me the limited sigings so far (only Keane and Cahill). We better not waste our time and buy from abroad. Shame we will play today with three mifielders missing (Taarabt, Barton and Faurlin).

This the nature of doing business in January Youssef. A lot of clubs are reluctant to let players leave, also agents and players will be holding out until the last week of the window to see what options will present themselves.

It is a tall order trying to put a team together with 11 days of a transfer window in August then a month in January, I think we need to be a little patient. It would be very easy to rush in a blow a lot of money on players that will still get us relegated.

Buying a player is not the same as walking into a shop and buying a product.....

you have to reach agreement with the club
you have to reach agreement with the agent/player
if the player is not from an EU country you have to negotiate the work permit.

FFS please be a bit realistic..... as the previous poster said January is a nightmare for signing players as it is, thats even before clubs know you are desperate to buy (this is, I think, is a mistake made by our board, we have been to open with our transfer policy)

I just wish some posters would stop whinging like 5 year olds and step back and look at the situation realistically.

        Simple reason:

        Agents.

The longer they draw things out the stronger the position of their player and the better deal they will get for themselves.
