MH's immediate problem is he's only got 19 days before the window shuts, but he has to assess the current squad first before he can go straight out and sign up new players. Bearing in mind its a clean slate for everyone and he may well feel he can bring out a lot more in some players than Warnock could, which wouldnt surprise me at all.
The other problem is that the squad is very large (40+) so that'll take time too - time which is in very short supply. The squad needs some serious culling, especially if there's going to be even more arrivals. Ideally you need about 2 months to fully assess a squad our size, needing to see them in games as well as training, but unfortunately thats simply not an option.
