He can't even get in Stoke's team, so why would he be good enough for us, especially now we have proper ambition.

He's never been a very good striker.

Doubt he will leave a potential top 3 club.
Him and Harry does also have a good relationship.

IMO, only slim chance we have of getting him is on a 6month loan for him to get proper game time leading upto the Euros.
Personally, would love that.

Be amazed if Spurs let Defoe go. Adybyor is only on loan, they want to get rid of Pavylechenko and that only leaves them with Van Der Vart. What a game changing player to have on the bench! They are third in the table and gunning for the Premiership. Its all v well turning noses up at players like Kenwyne Jones but when you are 4th from bottom in Jan its one thing having money and a wish list, its quite another to actually sign a top player.
