wouldn't say i was talking rubbish, as really i meant the above in a bit more of a general sense. agreed talksport isn't all doom and gloom - but at the end of the day stuff that is negative or bad news will always be more attractive to the media as it is that which tends to get them the readership. i didn't see the piece, mind, so i dunno if it was live or a pre-record.

They have people fielding the calls, but i 'm sure in most cases the scope of the conversation is to get name, location and what they want to talk about, in this case QPR.... They wouldn't go through the whole discussion or planned content.

When they want a negative spin on things they normally raise a topic with a controversial question, normally from the likes of Adrian Durham, in the hope it sparks a lively debate. This morning they were just looking for QPR fans to ask what they think, no agenda. The bloke who rang in was misguided shall we say....

I've called LBC a few times in my life and they always ask what you want to say first, I would assume TalkSport are the same and they would know full well if it was going to be a positive or negative call otherwise they might end up with a completely one way discussion.
