    No squad number? Even if we were planning on sending him on loan surely he'd have a squad number???

                      Maybe he is seen as a youth player and has to earn the right to a first team squad number. Brown and Oastler probably get one because we don't have the depth in defence that we do in midfield and therefore they may appear regularly on the bench.
