    Warnock sacked over Yakubu bust-up

Neil Warnock left QPR last night after a bust-up with owner Tony Fernandes over signing Blackburn striker Yakubu.

Rangers are confident of installing Mark Hughes as manager in the next 48 hours. The first job for the ex-Manchester City manager will be to rescue Rangers from relegation danger.

Thought Yakubu would of been a good signing

Yakubu has scored 13goals this season and has always had a good goals tally wherever he has been we probably couldn't have got many players with a better scoring record this season.

This is absolute shite. Yakubu was never going to leave Blackburn - he's scoring too many goals for them and he's essential to their survival.
Sure NW wanted to get him - but Blackburn wouldn't have sold him. Warnock's agent is obviously now calling the papers to tell the world that our board are the **** of the earth

curious... smudge has started tweeting this afternoon, claiming:

100% sure that yak was tf's target and not nw's; and
available funds are being massively exaggerated.

                    hmmm...
