So we are not going after 4-5 as Warnock wanted - not sure it makes sense to fire Warnock and then hope our squad will do with a few additions.

I'll repeat what I've said previously. Warnock was the best man to keep us up with the average squad we have. If there are only to be one or two signings (and that's what Beard said) then we are phucked without Warnock because other names mentioned could not improve us without new bodies.

However, Beard may have been keeping the hopes low in case it all goes Pete Tong.
