I think he will prove to be a top manager, but in our position we can't afford to be his test bed in top flight football management in case it's a step too far, as it is for Warnock it would seem....
We need a proven and experienced person with good contacts and respect in the game who can hit the ground running.Comment

The difference being Paul Lambert has progressed from the 3rd tier of English football with them, and is without pressure because he can do no wrong, and rightly so after back to back promotions. He hasn't been aasked to jump into a prem hotseat and steer a sinking ship away from the waterfall... as it were.
Poyet i think will prove to be great as i said, but we cannot afford to take a gamble in our position.Comment
