    No brainier

People on here harp on bout needing a fox in the box type striker and after seeing Jordan Rhodes tonight really is a no brainier five relatively scrappy finishes but shows he knows where the net is and before I get cut down I know it's lower level but to score five goals in a game plus this is his fourth hat trick of the season including one at international level I might add shows the boy is going places so forget a thirty year old injury prone andy Johnson lets buy one for the future thus boy could be our new sir les

£4m rejected shows they don't want to sell him.

That is insane money for a League 1 player.

The last League 1 striker to be hyped beyond belief and leap frog the championship straight to the Prem was Jermaine Beckford.... he wasn't exactly a rip roaring success at Everton was he.

Don't get me wrong, i haven't even seen anything of this kid and he may turn out to be the mutts nuts, but regardless of how many goals and how good he looks in League 1, it is certainly no guarantee he will succeed in the prem because the quality of players he's against now is massively lower than the prem. As for us, in our current plight and desperate for goals there would be massive pressure and i don't think he's the answer.... although out of him or AJ i would take him everytime as AJ will score didly squat from the treatment room.

Warnock would drop Kenny and play him in goal if he had to....

WOW agreed he looks a good player for the future .but a short term fix ???

We need some 1 that ain't going to take 5 or 6 games to settle inTo the speed or style of the prem. some 1 who is going to keep us up with 10 or so goals between now and May.

To be fair beckford scored 30-odd goals that season. Rhodes has 30-odd goals with half the season gone. He could reach 50 by the end of the season.

The clue to where he is going is Joe Jordan and Clive Allen, two of the bedt strikers of their generation watched him tonight and were openly knocking one out.

                          What a player !

There were scouts from 8 premier league clubs there tonight. No idea if we were one of them but rest assured, the boy sure picked the right night to bang in 5. He has a massive future but I don't believe Uddersfield will sell him now - just a hunch based on the rejection of the Wet Spam offer.

Didn't Zamora used to play lower leagues though with Brighton?
He ain't doing too bad is he?
