Poor refereeing to send him off and even worse refereeing to let things escalate to the point where tempers flared.

Some will point fingers at Barton and say that he shouldn't have got involved, and they may be right. The ref howver never had control of the game and didn't see anything for us in the first half!

Barton clearly pushes his face into Johnsons which most players would feign injury for in the Prem but it's baffling how the ref didn't even book Johnson for his cynical off the ball challenge right after ??? !!! at the end of the day Barton took the bait and cost us the game
