for me he only but the effort in for 20mins in a game.

personally it was a blessing in disguise when he got injured at Derby. We were much better when he went off.

not that i am saying it was good he broke his legs,,, i you know what i mean.

plus the man off field is the most arrogant footballer i have ever met.. he is right up their with Jimmy Smith..

This isn't a popularity contest.
I am sorry if you don't like him but he picks himself and it is a no brainer.
Pompey if you was to drop him then who would you make captain and don't say Mahon or legs as I may have to strangle you.

I still think Mahon is a quality player, who because of his appearance of not being really athletic people think he is a lot worse than he is, or when he makes a mistake it looks a lot worse. If you actually watch him, he very rarely gives the ball away. As soon as he does (which we all do sometimes) some people are on his back. Whereas Buzz (my fave player) can make an awful pass and people just ignore that.

Rowly is a decent player but has to move the ball quicker, I find him so negative at times.
