Faurlin possibly, though suspect his reputation hasn't spread quite as far from Loftus Rd as some think. But OK, happy to concede Faurlin, who else? That wd make Tabs the second most valuable player on our books and some fans (not necessarily you) like to take a pop at him at every opportunity. For the record the Arsenal fans I was surrounded by yesterday said that Adel was the only player of ours that remotely impressed them - "a class apart" I think one said.

I totaly agree, Faurs isnt got yet and Adel is our 2nd most impressive player...when he feels like playing..He would suit arsenal as he plays thier type of football....what do you think a Stoke fan would make of him..Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostFaurlin possibly, though suspect his reputation hasn't spread quite as far from Loftus Rd as some think. Fact is..he's a talanted player when he fancies playing..and thats what makes him not a prem player......every good prem player that wakes up wishing they were somewhere else gives thier all and delivers on the pitch...he aint got that yet..thats what i've been trying to get over to my critical posters for so long.
I dont personaly like him but i dislike his professionallism in a sport that demands absolute dedication and all his admireres would happily do for free.!
he has the talent, just not the total package to be a good prem star,,there are countless others..gary charles.......etc

Think we are all aware of the guy's limitations but we can't replace 25 players in January. At least half a dozen existing players are going to have to become Prem quality or make a pretty good impression of being so or we are relegated. If we bring in four/five/ even six players we need Adel, Alejandro, Barton, Kenny, Traore, Young and Ferdinand (and ideally SWP) to step up to the plate. We have so much dead wood elsewhere it just baffles me that some prefer to pick on the players who might just about prove to be good enough rather than those who will clearly never be part of the solution to surviving in the Prem League.Originally posted by qprbrisbanedivision View PostI totaly agree, Faurs isnt got yet and Adel is our 2nd most impressive player...when he feels like playing..He would suit arsenal as he plays thier type of football....what do you think a Stoke fan would make of him..

Mate, i totally agree with your whole post. If we can rely on the players you have named to step up and guide the others to keep us up, then we wouldnt have a problem.....but...problem / fact is ..we've been waiting for Adel to step up for half a season now..has he done it? has he wowed the crowds and won games?(no)..is he likely too? (?) do we wait till the end oid the season to see if he fancies playing well(when looking for a move) or do we get rid now?Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostThink we are all aware of the guy's limitations but we can't replace 25 players in January. I lov3e watching him in full flow buit fact is..since robbie savage found him out he aint been the same player HE thought he was!!
I'd love him to run riot...but this is the big league with the big boys..kids left are at the door...
Barton and the others aint been great either, but you know from form they can be..with Tarbs..I just dont see it!!...sad but true(to me)..IMO

On the basis Ric-roc, Dale and Stainrod have not had an Adel love thread and that fella ain't posted links to pass completion graphs or you tube clips of him at the Emirates, it is fair to say he probaly had an average game.Originally posted by kingy10 View PostWatch the game again. Literally lost the ball 80% of the time.

Some try too hard to find faults with Taarabt
He did have an average game but then who played great yesterday?
Probably had the best shot on goal and kept himself busy trying to get into space and playing some nice passes
Did lack in confidence a little and should of taken more shots

haha what a joke, of course you dont fit in if you agree with ridiculous commments like that. Taarabt was probably our best player yesterday and i had many neutrals agreeing.Originally posted by qprbrisbanedivision View PostCareful you'll get the Tarbs gang on you soon..and if they dont like what you say they will try all kinds of stuff..
PS..on the quiet...im with you...ssshhhhh... we dont fit in.....

From what I have heard and read, it would appear the best player yesterday was Barton or Young and Adel was not as effective as recent games ?Originally posted by Kimimar0 View Posthaha what a joke, of course you dont fit in if you agree with ridiculous commments like that. What Paul said. Young looked solid and Barton the most industrious. The important thing for me was that eventhough Adel didnt have a great game you could see he put his nose to the grindstone.Originally posted by paulmason View PostFrom what I have heard and read, it would appear the best player yesterday was Barton or Young and Adel was not as effective as recent games ?

personallly i think they were all VERY average yesterday against a better team..but what do i know?!!!
ssshh...!!...keep quiet and they wont spot us underground supporters that actually know whats going on !!

Its hard to be that effective away to Arsenal but Adel still very much impressed me with his ball control and passing. He played a nice ball to SWP that resulted in one of our best efforts of the game and also had a reasonable shot that Szczesny was forced to parry. I think people are readily admitting also that he put in a good defensive shift. Maybe Luke Young was better, but nothing really shone out for me. Barton definitely not.Originally posted by paulmason View PostFrom what I have heard and read, it would appear the best player yesterday was Barton or Young and Adel was not as effective as recent games ?
