Walkonby - you have your contacts in the club. Do you get the impression they recognise this? Cd it poss be Jim mistakenly thinking Agyman etc can do the business? Or is - as I assume - the board not wanting to spend the money?

I get the impression the board don,t want to spend any money.

There has been loads of forwards available, yet we linked with unknown foriegn players .

To get promoted you need a goalscorer, conolly or dave is not the answer.

Not a v funny joke though, is it?

Thanks Walk. But do they not take into account the £1.6m they got for Dex plus whatever they got for Delany (£800,000?) plus the wages they've saved on releasing six or so other players.

I mean say tomoz we get shocked with the signing of a known 3 million striker.

I'll be happy as a larry and admit im wrong and fair play to the board.

But just dont think its gonna happen, and at the end of the day with the investment that we know have its a drop in the ocean!!

If you think that is bad I won't mention that we enquired about Billy Connelly but he was on his tour
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

The club dont want to spend money and want to cut the wage bill so we wont see the likes of beckford or hooper or any proven goalscorer coming in. Happy to look at free transfers as long as the wages are within reason. Absolute joke.

Perhaops the board have no intentionof stumping up their own money anymore.

We know what FB thinks of us and it seems pretty clear that he wants us to buy STs at £584 (G) and then fill up LR before he is going to authorise big signings.

Problem is, most of us want to see the players signed before we buy STs or fill LR up on matchdays.

The deilema is like which came first, the Chicken or the egg?

I put my faith in the Board last season and got my fingers badly burnt. £600 is a lot of money to me and accounts for a big chunk of my personal spending money, And what did I get for my money last season? 2 sacked managers, a few inexperienced foreign imports on loan, a lack of entertainment on the pitch and the 2nd lowest goals for column in the FL.

I wont be repeating the mistake again.

I agree. I wont be stumping up any money this season until we buy a decent forward. End of story.

Spot on SIAL.When I think of all the fireworks, fanfares and hype that heralded a new beginning 2 years ago, allied to the false promises and extortionate price hikes it makes me sick.FB knows FA about football or running a football club otherwise he wouldn't have grabbed our money and squandered it on luxuries for his cronies whilst settling for the likes of HH,DiCarmine and possibly Pellicorie and I don't believe for one minute he paid £3.5m for Faurlin.FB needs a white walking stick if he can't see we need at least one decent striker.Virtually every other Championship club is getting in experienced reinforcements for the upcoming season.A lot of other threads are asking us not to judge FB yet and give him time.Wind the clock forward a couple of years and I bet nothing changes unless he starts investing in some more proven players.Notice I haven't mentioned the B word W12Ranger.

Before you all collapse in a heap of frustration and tears

Did we not make a serious offer for Cox?

Whether we did or not doesn't matter a toss, because there is as much evidence for that as there is for NOT wanting to spend any money now.
