IMHO, this would leave us with no real width and would expose the full backs too much. If a winger or full back gets in behind Mackie or SWP, which is likely if they're playing further up the pitch, our full backs would be left exposed, and would require the midfielders being pulled wide to defend, and leaving gaps in the middle. Remember, your formation means in reality playing with just three midfielders and we're not good enough for that.

I'd play 4-4-2 with:

Young Ferdinand Gabbidon Hill

SWP Barton Faurlin Traore
