    Should Joey Barton be benched....

..... as he seems to have lost his heart and desire, he is slow and indecisive on the ball and in general, does not seem to give a toss, which is not like him. Is it time to bring back Derry in a 4-2-3-1 formation, or just hope Joey lifts his game ?

Away at Stoke, Joey got caught in possession in the middle and Stoke went on to score.

Away at Liverpool, Joey got caught in possession in the middle and Liverpool went on to score.

Home v Man Utd, Joey got caught in possession in the middle and Man Utd went on to score.

Agree with that Facto. Give Derry a run out. He'll give 100%.

No, but close his twitter acount, Mr Warnock.

It´s getting more and more embarrasing.

Personally, no I dont think he should.
Agree with all points made about his mistakes, he has certainly been underwhelming since he signed, but I still think he is better than Derry.

Derry, as great as he is and I have alot of time for him, has shown in the last few games he has played that he isnt quite upto the PL tempo and so I would defiantley stick with Barton. Hopefully he digs deep and tries to make up for the recent mistakes.....
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

V hard to know how Barton wd respond to being benched and with everything going on behind the scenes Warno prob feels he doesn't need another big bust up. BUT I do agree that Warnock badly needs to show whose boss and that lately Joey has been performing better on twitter than on the pitch. If Adel had given away half as many balls in crucial positions as Barton did the lynch mob wd have been out in full force. The other prob is I simply don't know who you cd replace him with. We are slightly going round in circles because Derry was also totally woeful in his last few games.

I think he needs another go on Wednesday. He's been poor the last two games, but very good the three or so before that. HH and DJ up top, SWP on the right, Taarabt left and Joey/Ali in the middle would be my pick for next week. Hopefully the bench has given Adel back some desire. Looked reasonable on Sunday.

                  Won't happen, but it's what I'd do.

I think we should teach Ali to pull someone down when he gets beat, that's 2 goals in 2 gAmes now. Lol.

You make some good points Paul, and TBH I didnt realise the last 3 mistakes have led to goals against.

He had a bad start and i hammered him, then he started to play well and I praised him.

Right now it just seems his heart isnt here, he doesnt want to be here.

I agree he should be given a kick up the Ar$e but you and I both know that wont happen... Too much say.

On current form, yes, without question.

The question is would NW have the minerals to drop his skipper, and save face?

When was the last time a PL manager dropped their captain?

Bring in Derry. Dunno where ATM(Change formation?) But we miss his defensive fibres in midfield.
