SkySports - Defoe hints at Spurs exit

Out-of-favour Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has hinted he could leave the club if he continues to be left out of Harry Redknapp's side.

The arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor on loan from Manchester City has put Defoe in the shade at Spurs this season.

The England frontman has made just six Premier League starts, scoring six goals, and is growing increasingly frustrated.

CernyBerny on QPRnot 606 says Defoe and Bassong are done deals if you're interested too, here's hoping
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

There's simply no way that Spurs will be getting rid of Jermain Defoe in January, unless it's for a striker who's significantly better than he is and who's available at the right price & wages.

As for not getting enough playing time, Defoe has actually chalked-up more minutes this season than Adebayor has...

Cernyberny's itk hit rate is as good as davesviews. Ie' f@ck all.

Thfc. Agree with what you are saying. With the position Spurs are in they are mounting a real good push this year & will need players like Defoe to see out this season plus people need to remember Adebayor is not a Spurs player & isn't likely to be any time soon if his wage demands are anything to go by further strengthening Harry's hand in keeping Defoe.

Personally as far as we are concerned the best possible thing I think we can hope for is a 6 month loan deal. Of course he could be recalled but I'd like to think we'd get a bit of time out of him in the second half of the season which will be make or break for us.

there is talk about tevez too tottenham , now if that happens it will be likely that defoe will have to move
if tevez does go there cant be on loan so will have too buy him outright

though tevez wage demands may make it unlikely

If Defoe leaves Spurs and its still a big IF, no way he'll play for us not even on loan, expect Chelsea or indeed even Arsenal to snap up the little hit man..

Cant see Chelsea or Arsenal being interested in a loan deal for Defoe

No not loan, they would buy him, we could only afford a loan deal with half the wages being stumped up by spurs, aint going to happen people..

Adebayor is on his way back to Citeh (Spurs won't pay his £175 000 a week wage anymore) and Drogba is likely to join, so Defoe is a possibility on loan but for me its gonna be Pav who makes the short move across to W12
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Cant see Tottenham wanting to sell him, loan would be a different matter altogether.

As Soton mentions above, Adebayor will probably head back to city and Defoe will be in with a shout of first team football again
