Though not as big a star, in his way he would be almost as important a signing as Defoe for us (and certainly as important as, say, Zamora). Cd be the rock to build everything else around. Thought he was a monster against us. As said wd compliment Anton brilliantly. Plus it wd leave Blackburn looking forward to "entertaining" Charlton next season...

No way Blackburn would sell in January, not unless Venky's are planning a very elaborate suicide.

Come the summer, well if we go in fast with a strong and attractive offer who knows? You'd certainly think a big club would be in for him but they haven't up to this point so far... and you don't win the lottery without buying a ticket.
