Both went missing today and let Adam and Co boss the midfield which was the biggest disapointment of the day for me. Also dont understand the policy of only pressing the ball in our half? We need to press and harry all over the pitch like the Chelsea game.

Anyway onwards and upwards we wont play many as good as them this season so we need to regroup and have a go at United. These top teams are great when things are going well but as we saw today when the get nervous they are like any other team and can be got at.

Yep, did put a bit of that hype about Barton and Ali into perspective. We were crying out for someone to put a foot on the ball and if you are up against it just try to keep possession rather than all that hopeful punting up field which comes back thirty seconds later with interest.

Its strange because on paper I would argue that our midfield man for man is better then theirs. I would not swap Faurlin or Barton for Henderson or Adam, SWP is the equal of Downing and Mackie does a solid enough.

I definitely wouldn't want Adam and Henderson over Barton and Faurlin. Not in a million years. Poor show yesterday, I agree, but we have the better two.

I agree to some extent.

Barton better than Henderson.
Faurlin better than Adam.
Current form Downing more effective than SWP.
Rodriguez definitely ahead of Mackie!
