Not a bad LB at all; him there and allowing Traore to play LM...
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I was waiting for us to be linked with Ridgewell again. Makes perfect sense to me, he's a QPR fan who wants to return to London. He can play Left Back or Centre Half which are both positions where we need to strengthen and he will be available for a reasonable price.

I believe this is the idea yes. Traore LM then SWP can go back where he is best - on the right wing.

Add a decent CB to partner Anton and a striker that will find us the net a fair few times and weve got ourselve a very strong side indeed.

Would be solid signing and a step up from Clint Hill. He is Rangers. Can play left back and at centre half.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Let's all ignore the fact he's Rangers as it won't make him a better player. Yes it may make him graft a little harder, but on the money all these players are on, they should be sweating blood anyway....

As for him as a player, i'm not convinced, same as the other ex Birmingham defenders who were touted as great a while back, when they are nothing special. I'm sure he'll do a job as seems a consistent performer, and would offer some flexibility also, which is always welcome, plus he's decent at notching the odd goal also. That said i wouldn't be fussed either way.

Have said before I don't think he's that great a player BUT we probably do need a Joey-style vocal presence at the back to keep Anton switched on and to be perfectly honest I can't actually think of any other decent British left backs that might be available (maybe Ashley Williams but we'd have to wait til the summer).

He's a ringer for Mickey Pearce too!

                              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                              And many more mistakes
