    pointless membership

\Does anyone else find spending 40 quid on a membership pointless, i have had to rely on mates to get my tickets and a season ticket is no good if you work shifts so my mates continue to gain loyalty points at my expense and i never gain any !!! not a good system
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

i personally don't think the club expected the influx of demand for tickets this year. We've sold out near every game, but we weren't doing that last year when flying high the whole season - was only come feb/march that people started turning up at the gates.
Away tickets have been sold out a lot quicker too - and that's to all games pretty much.

in essence - our stadium is too small.

that should be fairly easy - it's our largest away ticket allocation all season isn't it? we got under 4k for liverpool

With membership you can buy tickets before they go on general sale and that is about it IMHO. Some need it, some don't.

that was the plan Krill thing is they tend to sell out before they get to that stage so 40 quid wasted ! my point is does anyone else feel the same?

Really, that is not good, does it occur for every match? Last time I bought tickets via membership pre-sale was for the Leeds match in the spring, then I could still get two tickets, and this season it is only one ticket and I am currently waiting for my chosen match to go on membership pre-sale ... would be gutted if I could not get a ticket. Would truly defeat the point of membership for me. So what is the mechanism of this failure, are season ticket holders now allowed to buy more tickets than last season or are they just using this opportunity more, thus leaving (next to) nothing for members?

                  think it's this.
I remember a few years back we had arsenal in the FA cup, needing to beat Luton(?). They said anyone at that needed to keep the stub and they could get an arsenal ticket. problem is the people at the front had about 50 stubs each! I missed out - gutted. made sure never in that position again...although I have been a couple of times!

It's just a tough one really - people will always miss out. if you don't get anything though through the membership surely you can ask for your money back no?

membership has been a bargain. so far £20 saved on tickets plus a £10 voucher, only have to go to 2 more games and it has paid for itself. plus the fact i wouldnt have got tickets for chelsea/man utd games if i didnt have the membership.

So there were tickets available for members for these very attractive matches after ST holders had their pickings? Then it is not so bad?

ST holders can not purchase extra tickets without buying an additional membership.

Not following. Home games don't tend to sell out before they go on sale to members and you get £5 off the price. How can it not be worth it?

Only game I haven't been able to get a ticket for in years was the Leeds game and we were not in the Prem then.

                              Again,

I am also a member, and I have been able to get a ticket to all home games. Yes, there are away games where they sell out before members get the chance to snap them up, but thats the way it is and it is only fair that ST holders (who have spashed out alot of dough for thier ST) get first dibs. And if it so happens that a side gives us, for example, 3k allocation, and 3k ST holders want to go, them its hard luck on us members.

With the Leeds game, I also couldnt get 1 originally, but luckily my mate knew a bird working in the box office and he managed get us a couple in the Lower School End ... Albeit at £45 price.... Worth every penny!
