    why?
Hes been super so far this season but his age against him now,we need younger players and imo a waste to give him a new deal.Waste of cash and squad place next season.Westay up this year,we need to move forward sharpish and there shouls be no room for sentiment.

      Good!
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

The article doesn't state whether the £13,000 a week is his cureent deal or his proposed new deal, either way he's worth every penny at the moment.Without his goals we'd probably be in the bottom three, and compared to the wages being thrown at Bothroyd for instance, its a no brainer. With the alleged wages of Barton,SWP,Ferdinand and even Taarabt ,our top scorer deserves every credit, regardless of age.

but fat frank dont have to run around like Helgs does,Frank can move 3 foot any direction and bang a pass, also good goal ratio for a MF.

When you say MF, do you mean midfielder or something else...?

Bergkamp played on for Arsenal into his mid-late 30s and how old was Sheringham when he quit the Premier League? And what about Giggs, Playing in midfield and he is 38?

As long as Helguson can keep in shape he can pay on at this level for another 2 or 3 years.

I have never been a big fan of Helguson's scoring record, but he is doing very well for now. I would say wait until March and see how he performs and then offer him a new deal.
