Lower School End?

Sorry if this has been asked or discussed previously but WTF is going on with Lower School End????
I get the fact we're keeping front rows clear becuase of away fans sat above but who decrees this must happen.?
I can think of plenty of gounds where different fans sit in different tiers..... there will be LFC supporters sat above Rs fans at Anfield f'rinstance but there won't be several rows of roped off empty seating.
It looks flipping awful on telly when you see all those empty seats - club needs to urgently find a solution if not for aestethic reasons than reasons of pure revenue.

I would have sat there glady yesterday - in my restricted view seat in the Ellerslie, I could only see half the pitch due to being right next to the staircase that leads to the TV gantry. £2 off? They should have paid me!

Totally agree loads of clubs have apposing fans above and below without netting off seats; Arsenal, Wolves, Sheff Utd, Liverpool, Newcastle etc etc not sure what our obsession is with it.

If we have to net off an area make it to the first row of the top tier

I have to agree with the consensus of opinion, having the lower school end like that looks absolutely dreadful on TV.

Ellerslie I love it in there but the view is annoying with the pillars in the way.

if we're worried of our fans being spat on by the away - then why not give us the upper end and away fans the bottom - like that we can spit all we like.

I e-mailed the club about this in September. Apparently, the canopy they had in place to stop objects being thrown from the upper tier was a temporary structure and they need a permanent one for the Premier League. The Club are looking into this as a priority, but there is a Health and Safety issue and they need to get approval from the Local Authority.

I have asked the Club for an update on progress and I will post it when I have more information.

It's actually 600 seats so the BO say, take that at £50 a ticket if v someone like the **** and you can see why the club would rather take an extra £30,000 rather than block it off and give the away team only the upper.

When it comes to it the club are just trying to make money.

don't think this is a club issue - it's the local striking losers that should all be executed in front of their families that cause this IIRC.
