I agree he is class and a very good player in the making.

I'd take him and play him alongside Faurlin and Barton with Mackie and SWP supporting Helguson in attack in a 4-3-2-1. QPR could always bring on Bothroyd in the 2nd half if things aren't working out and revert to 4-4-2.

However, isn't he going to the ACN with Ghana in January. He switched his international country from England to Ghana (where he was born)? Stiil, he would be good to have in Feb-May

Thought he looked surprisingly limited for an Arsenal player whenever I've seen him. Not much in the way of discipline either.

Derry's struggles on Saturday suggest we could do with some cover at CM (especially so if Warnock decides to give Adel another chance) but I doubt Arsenal would let Frimpong out on loan without guarantee of first team action.

Do think as a club we need to move on from thinking "Faurlin and Barton - that's central midfield sorted" - to be a mid-table prem team you need competition and better than Derry when one of those is missing. For the record don't think Ping Pong or whatever his name is is the answer tho' - flashes of great talent but as you say too ill-disciplined for a Warno team scrapping away for points.

so we'll have 5 decent midfielders and not a player apart from HH that can score consistently ?...good choice..

He is clas but we dont need him, he aint gonna score for us or defend like tony adams....we need a goal scorer and centre back this season..next season, then maybe...IMO

Are people being serious about us not needing another CM? We only have two who can cut it at premier league level. What would happen if Faurlin or Barton got badly injured? We would be fubar. Derry is a legend in my eyes but has looked poor of late. Premier league is all about strength in depth and replacing quality with quality and also having a big enough squad to do that.
