Surprised at the Hill contract offer. Cannot see him being first team past January.

Think it's a safe deal.... IF we go down we have a good experienced left back in the ranks.. If we stay up we've got back up

That's a hard question, as I really rate Hill as a player and a person, but will he be first choice left back next season, I hope not, but after saying that he would be great LB and CB cover for emergencies.

I think this is more to do with NW signing a new contract at some time in the near future and he wants his trusted lieutenants (Derry and Hill) to be around as examples of the standards needed and moving them into a more player / coaching role, than just a playing role.

I'm not sure why but I always thought Derrys deal, was to become a coach?

                  Deserved.

Won't be on big money & has shown in the Prem he can do a job.

Exactly. Plus, people are quick enough to have a pop when players show no loyalty to a club so its good to see it being shown the other way too.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

That is the main key, cheap & can do a job when required.

Id give him a further 12 months if i'm honest, at least you know exactly what you are getting, his level of performances are very consistent.

Yeah bang on mate, he was one of many heroes that day.

Im a fan of Hill's, he has balls and like a few have said is good cover to have. He will have games where his lack of pace will get exploited but a good squad player all the same.
Was immense last season as well.
