    Rickie Lambert

Warnock is looking to get a striker in January to bolster our attacking options. I reckon we should give Lambert a go, he has been class for southampton.

12 league goals in 17 games so far this year; very impressive record.

If we were to drop down a divison for a striker (although a proven PL striker should, IMO, be our main target- if possible obviously), then I would be looking at either Lambert or Maynard.

Maybe Maynard edges it, just, for me personally. But certainly wouldn't be moaning if Lambert was a target.

We were in talks with him in the summer. We didn't offer him what he wanted which I hear wasn't too much.

We need a PL class striker. It's hard to get one at the moment so perhaps the best option is someone playing in the La Liga with any club other than Barcelona or Real Madrid. I am pretty sure there are good strikers there but we need a good scout.

they both would cost serious money and would be a gamble. would rather spend money on somebody who's done it in the prem before

Uncle Harry made a point of saying he wouldn't sell Defoe in the Jan window.....which leaves the door open for a loan

Not sure he would fit into Warnocks thoughts as i know he used to be very over weight, eat the wrong things and be lazy in training. He has improved alot of these things which has help his talents as he is a good striker, just not sure how far he would take these changes to do the step up as we have found out, you need to be 2 steps quicker and 2 steps fitter at this level
