Tomkins and Maynard!!

I see that we are linked with both these players in todays press!

Both would be quality young acquisitions.

Add onohura, Bassong and a defore or johnson with these two i think we will be in with a good shout to stay up!

Its nice to be linked with up and coming players for the fture!!

Tomkins had a rough time in the Prem but by all accounts he's their player of the season so far. Would very much doubt they'll accept £3m, twice that at least.

Maynard on the other hand seems to be struggling this season - possibly because of the players around him. Bristol City were rejecting £5m for him in the summer though.

Hard to argue that both players are overpriced. I know if they happen to do well in the Prem they'll instantly be worth twice what we paid for them but it's still a big gamble for those sums.

No wonder everyone shops abroad TBH. Look what Newcastle are getting for peanuts over the Channel.

Would have Tompkins for 3 mil but not sure Maynard could make the step up, I'd rather we concentrated on getting established Premiership strikers like Defoe.
