I was sitting in the paddocks back then, near the tunnel.I would have been 10 or 11 years old.
That young keeper died of cancer aged about 41.
Remember him crying when he came off the pitch.Comment

New poster here I think. Having read the board for ages decided to say hello. I was the mascot for that game and I still remember every minute of that game. There were no div 1 games that day so it was featured on MOTD. Never had a video then so couldn't record it.
Thanks for posting it up, brings back great memoriesComment

Sorry Scott. Those were the days that being a mascot didn't cost a penny. It was my 10th birthday and my parents gave me the letter saying I was mascot on the morning of the game with a brand new kit. Loved every second of the day. Anyone remember Dave Mcreery? He looked after me on the pitch and introduced me to everyone including Toomy Docherty who was manager at the time. Whatever happened to him?Comment

Isnt Mcreery involed in the MLS in the states or something?Comment

It was his debut as well. I actually missed about 3 of the goals because I was down at the bar that was under the Loft getting beers to celebrate the previous goal. It seemed that most of the goals went in right in front of me in the Loft.RIP: Doug, Sniffer and PatComment
