    Good result against Man C?

What would constitute a good result against Citeh?

They're walking away with the PL, scoring for fun and we're having trouble finding the net.
So what would be acceptable?Would a "good performance" irrespective of the scoreline be enough to satisfy us or cosidering the second half display against Spurs have wea realistic chance of getting something from the game?

A lot of questions I know!
I feel that we could get something from the game but I'm not expecting it; I'm much more convinced that a good performance and the further evidence of the march of progress is much more important for us at this stage.

Id like us to be a bit more resilient and stronger as a unit.. Newcastle last night were so energetic... We need to play like we did against Chelsea early doors... Can't let teams settle so early like Sunday.

Against the sides that will punish you, we have to keep the ball better... That goes to everyone... Use paddy more, use the fall backs. Prem teams are so fit pumping the ball from goal kicks doesn't do anyone any good..

Against a side like Man C every slip will be punished, and a thrashing would be very damaging. However very few sides can contain them; once we don't let our heads drop and keep the concentration going we can emerge stronger.

Im not sure how to deal with them... Try and get them down to 7 men?? I would imagine they will play a few gritty players.

Even at 7, they'd still be a pretty formidable outfit; maybe if we could choose the 7, and they agreed to play with no keeper.

But seriously, our goal should be to feel good about ourselves after 90 mins having given our best. That is a realistic and attainable goal.

Beating ourselves up if we get a tonking won't help or change anything.

I'd settle for a decent performance, no expectation on score.

Love your optimism; have to point out though in the interests of balance that Man C beat Spurs 5-1 at WHL and Fulham put 6 past us without reply....

But anything is possible I genuinely believe, so good on you.

A good result would be 0-3.

Perhaps a good result would be if fans didn't come on here afterwards and say "we are all doomed"...

Well they have scored an average of 4 goals for every away game so far this season (20 goals in 5 games), so logically, if we only concede 3, we have done well, right?

same result as last game, 1-3, anything better will be a shock on a scale bigger than chelski, however if they beat us 6-0 no-one will be at all surprised.....
