  • if Terry is found guilty I'd find it very difficult to see how he'd be allowed to play for England again. Let alone represent the nation as captain.

    • He did say Black but unfortunately the FA will not do anything presisely because he is the England Captain and they have bowed to his numerous assurances that he will change etc too many times to lose face over this

      • Not condoning it in way, shape or fashion BUT

If the offending word is replaced by
        Ginger
        Fat
        Bald
        Ugly
        Four eyed (glasses)
        Midget
        Lanky
or any other of the seven dwarves

        does that make it alright?

Context means a hell of a lot and it does seem racism is the new modern day witchcraft. You only have to be accused of something, say something that can be taken the wrong way and you are guilty as charged - no question.

All that aside - it's another embarassment for the **** which is always a good thing.

        • I hate JT, but no one on here can say that for sure. I've looked several times, and it does look more like he said 'blind' as opposed to 'black'. When half the players on the pitch we're black, and not one of them heard that, it makes you wonder even more. Ashley Cole was right by him as he shouted it.

I know we'd all like to believe it, just because he's s.cum, I'm unsure. If it's proven, then fine, but because of who he is...too many of you will refuse to believe otherwise.

          • If what he said is so awful to black people, why haven't his black team mates condemned him?

            • If he didn't do it then surely Anton would have come out and said so by now.

And if he 100% did, you can be sure Anton amongst others would have been straight out with it.

I agree with you benny, think he said 'blind' but before he trotted back to the half way line (photo on bbc) he has hand over mouth and I think after this ferdinand reacts. I think he said something racist when camera's couldn't lip read. He the has a think and says I called you blind not black etc in full view of cameras. Hill is grabbing terry so maybe he heard it too? Otherwise, there's no case.

                      • To call someone black is not in its self racist. for example, the guy was black, 6ft tall and of medium build. This is hardly a racist description. Yet, it makes me wonder when calling someone a c**t that you would bring their colour into it. surely, a c**t is a c**t

I can't be sure of that at all. The gravity of the situation is huge and I'm sure Anton wanted to go about it the right way and must be pretty sure of what was said if he is going through with the allegation. He's just gone about it the proper way thats all.

                            • Sure Anton would have spoke to his brother about it all as Rio plays alongside Terry for England and he would have wanted his view.

Hope the police charge Terry at least he may get to spend some time with his mum and dad inside
