But in all seriousness, I dont think that boots these days help at all with foot injuries. For example, the new f50s: they weigh next to nothing and are paper thin. Brilliant for speedy wingers, but when a big tackle comes flying in and a pair of size 12 Puma King studs lands on the foot, they arent going to offer any protection whatsoever to a players metatarsel.
