Give the boy more time. He´s creative, intelligent and always involved in something good when he´s coming on. Barton is not a "wing-player", doesn`t have the needed attributes and has not been the player I was hoping for. Drop him and give Tommy a chance.

Agreed - Smith deserves a run from the start - just like HH did. Pretty sure plenty have posted over the summer that H will never score in the PL - well he is now joint top scorer along with Smith (and of course the rest of the world and it's wife)

When smith came on we played better football, he always plays the easy ball and it works. Would like to see him start next week in front of mackie

He is a thinker, and could play a big part this season.
I think he should be getting more pitch time than he is.
What we DO need as well, though, is someone with a lot of passion and a bit of fire.

I don't know for the life of me how Mackie gets in ahead of Smith after just 10 minutes at Fulham. Smith is a better player all round.

got to be honest i m not a fan, but would agree deserves to play before jamie, never been impressed by him

ok - he does run a round a lot, but describing him as brilliant just tells me you haven't watched him play. He is a squad player with some energy - nothing more.
