Barton should be stripped of captaincy

Runs about a lot, covers a lot of ground, I'll give him that, but too easily dispossessed, passing was awful.
The bit which summed it up for me was the 'hoof' which went straight up in the air and came down virtually back on his head -- he couldn't even get the hoofing right.

I really felt we had the signing of the season after his first couple of games, and he is now the one which I feel most disappointed by, because, as captain, his influence is not a good one.
People criticised Adel as captain, but in most games last season his desire to win rubbed off on the others, and the odd show of petulance was lined with that desire to do well and win. Making Barton captain over Adel has not been good for the team and may well be one of the reasons Adel wants to leave.

If we lose Adel and keep Barton, I cannot see us staying up.
