Fair point. I agree that Jay and Dj up top as a strike pairing could be leathal. Or even Buzz or Adel sitting just off DJ.
CB Cahill is top drawer but cant help but think if he were to go itd be to a top 6 side. Would love him though! Id say Bassong as CB and Tiote CM.
Like Watson though (was sh1te for us however!), playing really well for Wigan. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.Comment

Disagree.. We need to be looking at players that can make an impact NOW, not potential that may not come to fuition for 3/4 years then it will be too late.
We need experience and a couple of young players who are capable of performing.
In answer to the OP , course we'd have both even just to cement our premier league future.Comment

They are not for sale NOW, so they can not make an impact NOW and to say that someone like Gary Cahil would not be a better option than John Terry, at a fracrion of the wages (seeing as that is important to you now) speaks volumes, although I accept its horses for courses.Disagree.. PAul it was a HYPOTHETICAL question.. DO you understand what that means??They are not for sale NOW, so they can not make an impact NOW and to say that someone like Gary Cahil would not be a better option than John Terry, at a fracrion of the wages (seeing as that is important to you now) speaks volumes, although I accept its horses for courses.
My answer is that whether it be Terry Lampard Beckham or whoever we need experience NOW , not look for younger players who MIGHT make a difference.Comment

If they were available and interesred then of course we would take them in a shot. They have been the life blood of one of the best sides around for recent years.... anyone saying they don't want them is talking from the heart not the head.
That said, i can't see them going anywhere after Chelsea. I think they will get extended year on year contracts for a couple of years then still milk the Chelsea / Abramovich gravy train by doing ambassador stuff with the club on match days etc.Comment

Yes I know who hypotheitcal means and are you saying that a youngster like Gary Cahil is not experienced enough for QPR FC ?Comment

You should always be looking to get better than what you have is Terry better than all the C.Bs we have? YES is Fat Frank better than Barton and Faurlin Tarrabt Questionable better than Derry? YES. but not as a holding player! you have to think about the type of player he is? would prefer Cahill to Terry?Comment

The point there is younger players with experience, especially the likes of Cahill who are English command ludicrously over inflated transfer fees. I mean they wanted £17m FFS and he's had a mare this season.
The players being mentioned are all at the end of their carees, so i think the theory is they may be available for free, or very cheap.Comment

Lampard is a great attacking midfield player, but (hypothetically) who would he replace, as you would need someone sitting in the middle (as they do at Chelsea) allowing him to go where he wants. I dont think many QPR fans would want Lampard if it meant Faurlin was sacrificed, as you would need a Derry type player holding. You should always be looking to get better than what you have is Terry better than all the C.Bs we have? The transfer fee and age of Cahil means you would have a sell on valve in a year or three, so not that great an issue, but the £7,800,000 annual wages of Lampard, would be dead money. The point there is younger players with experience, especially the likes of Cahill who are English command ludicrously over inflated transfer fees. Firstly, they wouldn't get wages even close to that at another team when they may have a year or 2 at best to offer, and are not the players they were when they signed those contracts.
Secondly, you seem to forget the fact that players such as Cahill, who could potentially go for £17m, would also command stupid wages, especially if a team wants them that badly to pay over the odds in the first place.Comment

COurse he is but he would cost more to sign thn John Terry, and wouldnt sign for us as he is young and could play for Man utd, Chelsea etc , whereas Terry will be old and looking for a last payday.Comment
