Can someone explain for me, I keep seeing references to November - could we, hypothetically, sign him then because he would be a free agent or would we have to wait till Jan because we have announced our squad?

His US contract is up in November, hence he would be free to sign for anyone, ie secure his services on a contract. However, we couldn't add him to our squad until Jan.
