On his day he's as good as any striker in the division bar the top few.
That's one of the reasons why i have to laugh when people rave on about what a "great manager" David Moyes is.... when frankly he is imo the most overated around. Myth 1 is he's always on a shoestring, well this summer yes, but previously has been able to bring in plenty of good players and more often than not they play uninteresting football.
As for him being a genius..... well they moaned last year they had no strikers. they then let Yakubu go on loan even when Saha injured. This season the guys fit and he doesn't play him even after selling Beckford and Yakubu in the window. They were losing to us and he took off a striker and bought on another midfielder, to play Cahill who hasn't scored for months up front with Fellaini behind. He's done it since too...... Genius i think not.
Not to mention with Saha, he's their best striker - fact, he will spend a fair chunk of the season injured - fact, so logic would suggest to make the most of him when fit, ie now, meaning play him, not publicly embarrass him.Comment
